Dr. Jeffrey C. Wang and Dr. Kevin J. McGuire Recognized as Outstanding Reviewers for Spine

Spine surgeons Jeffrey C. Wang, MD, and Kevin J. McGuire, MD, have been recognized by Spine as outstanding reviewers of the year.


Spine is a peer review publication that enlists surgeons to read article submissions and provide quality feedback to the authors during the process. Both surgeons were recognized for their commitment to the peer review process.

Dr. Wang is a professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at the David School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He works in the UCLA Spine Center and is the chief of the orthopedic spine surgery service at UCLA. He also serves as the director of the orthopedic surgery spine fellowship and is involved in research with an emphasis on novel biologics and tissue engineering for spinal fusion and disc regeneration.

Dr. McGuire is the chief of the orthopedic spine service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass. He is also the co-director of the Spine Center at BIDMC and director of the combined neurosurgical/orthopedic spine fellowship. He also serves as an instructor at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
