Spine device company Premia Spine has acquired Impliant assets, which include 16 worldwide patents, according to a company news release.
One of Impliant's assets includes the TOPS System, which was developed in 2004 as a solution to lumbar fusion surgery. Premia intends to commercially launch the TOPS System and its adjunct Versalink Fixation System in the third quarter of 2011. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed in the news release.
